developing talent in the mobius team
Here at Mobius, we highly value the importance of nurturing and developing our team and their ambitions which is why we facilitate several apprenticeships - from digital marketing right through to trade qualifications.
We think that apprenticeships are a fantastic way for people to learn and get hands-on training and experience whilst also having the perk of paid employment and annual leave with the opportunity of a long-term career within Mobius
We currently have seven employees undertaking an apprenticeship and have quizzed a few of them to find out why they're doing it, how it’s going and what their ambitions are...
Grace Hood - Digital Marketing Level 3
Ever since finishing university, I decided to go down the marketing route as I wanted to make use of my creativity. Digital marketing has always interested me, and I believe it encompasses even more creative skills than marketing ever before and it’s this flexible, versatile nature of the business that makes it so fascinating.
Once I finish my apprenticeship, I hope to understand how a business works, develop and improve my networking skills and gain further digital marketing skills such as SEO, social media strategy and content creation.
Laura Tugwell - Team Leader Supervisor Management Level 3
I took on my apprenticeship to get a management qualification to enable me to progress to bigger things and have more opportunities in my career.
In my apprenticeship, I really enjoy learning how to manage different people in different ways as it really opens my eyes to what management should be like! I am a very driven person and look forward to having the apprenticeship as a new string to my bow.
Callum Barrett - Plumbing Level 2 & 3
I chose my apprenticeship as I wanted a good quality trade behind myself for the rest of my life and plumbing interested me the most. Once I have finished my apprenticeship I want to gain as much experience as I can within the company, learning the trade onsite and new skills every day.
Ryan Hansell - HNC Level 4 in Construction
I decided to take on my apprenticeship as I believe its most beneficial way to gain experience doing the job role on a day to day basis. When you are working in the job role you are training as you’re able to pick up the knowledge and skills by learning from your peers. I also enjoy being in the workplace meeting new people and being able to learn and pick up new skills on a day to day basis.
When I finish my apprenticeship, I’m hoping to go on to my next stage of learning by going to university to get a degree in quantity surveying and financial management.
Our other team members taking apprenticeships are:
- Sam Newland – Electrician Level 2 & 3
- Albert Graham – Electrician Level 2 & 3
- Travis Abbott – Electrician Level 2 & 3
We’re very proud of our talented team and will continue to help them all to flourish and grow with us now as well as in their future career paths.
